Typographical experimentation inspired by Alfred Wegner's theory of Continental Drift and his book "The origin of continents and oceans".
In his research he noticed how well the coastlines of Western Africa and South America fit together. He also observed that mountain ranges and coal deposits are located at the same places on both continents.
Around 300 million years ago during the Paleozoic and Mesozoic eras Pangaea was a supercontinent which then separated into constantly moving, futher separating and colliding continents.
With the use of felt, light box and camera and softwares I creates 4 different fonts. They are presenting different stages of breaking of those letters, similar to those of constantly moving and separating lands.
In the next stage I was experimenting with scanning chosen quotes from the Wagner's book and combining them with created font.
Experimenting with transparent printing film and shadows of printed font.
